Now you can try GoSun's breakthrough Vacuum Tube Solar Ovens at the lowest price. Just place this large, family-scale oven in the Sun and it's able to cook or slow boil water. Create your own frame and reflector to increase performance and ease of use.
GoSun's do-it-yourself kit includes:
As kits go, it's rather bare-bones. The most difficult part is to build a cooking tray, which I did out of 3-inch steel duct and various scraps. The tapered end-plug is wood, which swells and sticks. The reflector sheet was mounted on a plastic bucket, cut in half, with cradles jigsawed from wood and heavy-duty cable ties. The stand was built of scrap wood and steel rod. The manual sun-tracking mount is conduit and SpeedRail fittings. The heat is somewhat uneven, probably owing to the crude reflector, but on the whole it works really well. Worth the effort and highly recommended. It would make an excellent class project for teaching aboout the practical use of solar energy.
I'm looking forward to building my solar oven out of this kit. I get two pieces of goodness out of it for that reason- the exploration of the process of putting it together, and the fun of learning to cook with it. The parts are well made and solid, and should hold up well over time. Your radio buttons, below, aren't numbered. I'm assuming that the ratings will go from left [low] to right [high]. My intention is to give you solid 5 out of 5s.
So l don’t have the product yet but what do I like about your store. When my 120 unit arrived by UPS and all the glass was broken I immediately called you customer service. Your service person did not question me about how it gotten broken an if it was my fault or not instead she jumped in got a new unit on its way to my home.
