I love Cajun and spicy foods. Hush puppies, jambalaya, okra, seafood gumbo, all of it. It was hard not to indulge in the many treats but I wasn’t about to defect on day one.

My travel partners, Emily and Matt helped get the 40 days started as we each took a Sport to a grocery store parking lot to make a dish.

I was more nervous than expected. No reserves and depleted batteries weren’t a great way to start but the good sun delighted us.
