Is the Gopher street legal? Do I need a license?
The Gopher is engineered to meet federal Class III e-bike regulations. No registration, no insurance, and no driver's license needed. It's legal on most roads and bike paths.
How far can I go on solar alone?
The 650W solar array generates 2.5 to 4.0 kWh per day in typical conditions, which translates to 15 to 25 miles of range per day from sunshine alone. Combine this with the battery's range of 35 miles on a full charge.
Can I get any color I want?
The Gopher paint job that is shown here is for our original concept only. Expect your Gopher to be one color. Pre-Order customers will be surveyed to settle on the best, universal color.
What happens on cloudy days?
Cloudy days reduce solar yield but don't eliminate it. The Gopher still charges on overcast days, just more slowly. You can also plug into any standard wall outlet for a full grid charge.
Can I charge it from a regular wall outlet?
Yes. The Gopher charges from any standard 120V wall outlet. Solar charging is the primary design, but grid charging is always available as a backup.
How long does the battery last?
The 48V LiFePO4 battery is rated for 3,000+ charge cycles. With daily solar charging, the battery should last 8 to 10+ years of regular use.
Can I customize the cargo setup?
Yes. The cargo bed is designed for modularity. Fold-down counters, ladder rack, and configurable storage compartments let you set it up for your specific use case, whether that's a mobile coffee bar or a farm hauler.
When will my reservation ship?
First production run is estimated to ship Q4 2026. Reservations are fulfilled in the order they are received. Earlier reservations get earlier delivery dates.

What size tow vehicle do I neeed?
The Gopher is very easy to tow. Even when loaded with your gear, it's barely 1,000LBS, so most vehicles can handle this tow capacity, but please check your vehicle's specs.
